Unpaid Internship
TRACK DOM-21
Embedded Systems & Firmware
Master microcontroller architecture, register-level firmware programming, hardware interrupts, and serial telemetry protocols.
Track Overview & Hardware Context
Designed for ECE, EEE, and mechatronics students, this internship emphasizes real-time embedded systems principles. Candidates develop firmware in Embedded C, interface sensors and actuators, and simulate peripheral communication using standard protocols.
Compensation Notice: This is a structured unpaid internship. Deliverables are reviewed against professional standards to qualify candidates for an official MSME-registered Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation (LOR).
Core Syllabus & Technical Areas
- Microcontroller Architecture: Register mapping, GPIO configuration, memory layouts, and clock trees.
- Serial Communication Protocols: UART, SPI, and I2C hardware bus implementation, frame timings, and baud rates.
- Timers & Interrupt Handling: Hardware interrupt service routines (ISRs), timer prescalers, and pulse-width modulation (PWM).
- Sensor & Actuator Interfacing: ADC conversion, temperature and distance telemetry, motor drivers, and closed-loop logic.
